We are passionate about seeing young people live in the fullness of all God has for them.

Sunday Mornings

We have a full programme for youth on Sunday mornings. After a time of worship with the adults and children, our young people (school years 7-13) go to the youth venue. The morning consists of a social time to catch up, games, teaching, discussions and prayer.

Three times a term we have ‘EXP Church’ which is where our young people are encouraged to invite friends who don’t normally come to church to experience what it’s like. This runs for the entirety of the morning service time and includes breakfast.

Mid-Week

We run two mid-week discipleship groups for our youth at The Point. Nova is for youth in school years 7 to 9, while Coda is for those in years 10 to 13.

The groups meet on alternate Wednesday evenings, and the sessions provide an opportunity for our young people to build relationships, talk about faith and have some fun and games. Each group also has a social event at least once a term, whether it’s a film night, laser tag or a trip to the beach.

Events, Away Days and Residentials

As well as our regular programme of youth activities, we also take our youth to other special events, away days and overnight residentials.

The Point is part of The Hub, which is an ecumenical network of church youth workers and youth groups across Mid-Sussex. The Hub runs youth church events called “Youth United” where young people from across the different churches come together to worship.

We also attend a Christian festival most summers. For example, in 2021, our young people had a fantastic time camping for 5 days in Norfolk at New Day. Some years we organise for the youth to go on mission trips in the UK or overseas. For example in 2019 we went to Kenya.
