AGM and new Trustees!
The Point Annual General Meeting is tonight 7.30pm, at Gateway Baptist Church, Station Road, Burgess Hill, RH15 9EQ. Reports on the year will be given (finances, mission, safeguarding, church life etc) and we will be electing 4 new Trustees from the five candidate who are standing in the election. Don’t be late because voting closes at 8pm. If you are a member of the electoral role and you can’t be at the AGM on Wednesday then you can still vote, pick up a postal voting form on Sunday morning or from the church office. The Alpha launch event is Thursday evening 4 May. Guest speaker Michael Emmett. Michael has an amazing story of an encounter with God in prison which completely transformed his life, you can read about him HERE This is an amazing opportunity to bring friends to hear Michael’s testimony and to here about Alpha. Gift Day 2017
Our Gift Day this year is on Sunday 7 May. This is a really important day in the life of our church. Please be praying about your response, God is calling us to serve him in many different ways in Mid Sussex and we are trusting him to provide for everything we need. Please read the leaflet HERE
The Point’s Got Talent
On Saturday evening at The point Weekend Away we are hosting another evening of entertainment with The Point’s Got Talent. The programme is filling up quickly with some great acts and is going to be a lot of fun. Men at The Point
On Saturday 8th July the JustOne conference is being held at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium. This conference will be a great opportunity to bring just one (or more!) people to hear how Jesus can transform lives. It will be led by J. John and supported by Matt Redman, Hillsong London, Noel Tredinnick conducting a choir of 1000 London school children, Canon Andrew White, ex Portsmouth footballer Linvoy Primus and others – quite a line up! The Men @ The Point are organising a group to attend the conference, it would be great if you and a friend could join us. Further information on the conference can be found at https://justone.co.uk/. Tickets are priced at either £5 or £10 dependent upon seating chosen and/or available, we would be planning to travel by train. Being in London, there would also be the opportunity for food and fellowship afterwards should people wish. Archbishop Justin Welby is calling on us all to to make a lasting difference in our nations and in our world, by responding to God’s call to find a deep unity of purpose in prayer. You can find out more information about everything that is happening to support this here – https://www.thykingdomcome.global Bishop Richard Jackson has planned for a prayer space to be available during the week at Chichester Cathedral. On Saturday 3 June at 7.30pm we will be helping to lead worship at a service in the cathedral so do please make a special effort to be there.
