Sunday 30th September – ‘Songs of Praise’
We will be joining with the Beacon Parish for their ‘Songs of Praise’, where we will also be launching the Week of Prayer.
Sept 30th – Oct 6th. Week of Prayer – ‘The Flame of the Spirit – Holiness’
The theme for The Prayer Week is ‘The Flame of the Spirit – Holiness’. We believe God is calling us as individuals and as a church to be Holy. This requires us to seek Christ for ourselves and to allow the Holy Spirit to speak to us as to how He wants to transform us into the likeness of Christ. The Holy Spirit is described as Fire at times in the Bible, and we need His purifying Spirit to cleanse us and make us more like Jesus. I would encourage you to come and visit the Emmanuel Centre in Ditchling and take some time out of your busy lives to meet with God.Please look at the schedule and come along to spend time for yourself in prayer, or alternatively join one of the activities that is happening during the week. More information will follow:
Please come and help Befriended celebrate their first anniversary at their Silver Sunday tea party. They are excited to share what God has been doing through Befriended over the past year and have some wonderful stories to tell of the difference that they are making. Please invite an older neighbour or relative and bring them along with you to the tea party on 30th September. They also need help setting up the hall after morning church service, and help with welcoming guests and serving them tea. If you would like to book a place or can offer your help, please get in touch as soon as possible (see details on ad). They also need new volunteers who would like to join the team of Befrienders.
Bring a Friend SundayOn Sunday 30th September Point Kids have their first ‘Bring a Friend Sunday’. This is taking place 10:30-12noon in the Assembly Hall during our morning service. If you’d like more information please email:email@example.com
