What is BURN?
BURN is space for God on a Sunday evening. It is less of another service, more the beginnings of what we believe God might develop into a movement of prayer and worship, rooted in His presence. This is beginning on a Sunday night, but really we are responding to God’s call for a generation to rise and grow who never tire of worshipping Him. A community who are gloriously content yet hungry for more, who BURN with passion and love for the King of Kings, and who are spent on the Kingdom coming on earth…
BURN evenings
BURN is a place where you can come and just seek King Jesus. We are ploughing our energies into prayer, rather than production – and, as we start out, will seek to follow God as to how much organisation is needed and when. The team helping to organise the BURN evenings have been seeking the Holy Spirit’s guidance on how the evenings will take shape, and that’s how we will roll… BURN is about extravagant worship, meaning it’s all about our Lord, and making the time and space for Him. On the surface of things, there may not be anything too outlandish: We will sing, read scripture, pray, follow the Spirit, minister to one another. But undergirding this is the passion to create somewhere the Lord Himself can dwell and inhabit…
Is this just a Point thing?
This is very much rooted in to the ministry of The Point, and under it’s blessing. The heart is also two-fold: First, we have a passion for every church in this area, and if it may prove a resource to other churches or Christians – praise the Lord! Second, we feel strongly that the Lord will be calling people to Him from the surrounding areas, people who may not have ever been to church before. So we will make sure that BURN is a very welcoming and non-threatening place to come and meet Jesus and experience His love.

I am interested in getting involved…
All are very welcome. We are hoping BURN may be used by God to be a blessing to any who come. But we are also growing a community, and some may wish specifically to begin to journey with us. If that is you, we encourage you to please come along for a few nights, seek the Lord and ask Him how He wants you to be involved, and come and talk to us.
